Bearing Witness - Climate Change Campaign Day, Manchester
On the eve of the Conservative Party national conference, people from around the UK will join Christian Aid, Tearfund and Cafod for a day of learning, campaigning and worship on the issues of climate change and global poverty.
This Bearing Witness event occurs on the eve of the Conservative Party conference. Speakers from around the world will come together to discuss global issues with a focus on the damaging effects of climate change on the world's poorest communities.
After the speakers and an ecumenical service in the Anglican cathedral, attendees will form a procession to the Conservative Party conference centre where a candle-lit vigil will be held to remind them that they pledged to be the greenest government ever' and not to forget the world's poor.
